Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

Team Stats ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

We collect: (a) account information (email, password hash, GitHub identifier when you sign in with GitHub); (b) GitHub data you authorize (repository names, pull requests, commits, and related metadata) to provide analytics; (c) usage data such as IP address and request logs for security and operations; (d) feedback and support messages you send us.

2. How We Use Data

We use your data to provide, secure, and improve Team Stats; to communicate with you; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal data. We may use aggregated, non-identifying data for analytics and product improvement.

3. GitHub Integration

When you connect GitHub (OAuth or GitHub App), we access only the repositories and scopes you authorize. Our use of GitHub data is subject to GitHub's Terms of Service and their privacy practices. We store tokens securely and use them only to fetch data necessary for the features you use.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and analysis data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our retention policy and applicable law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and limited token scope.

6. Third Parties

We use third-party services for hosting, payments (Stripe), error tracking (e.g. Sentry), and optional integrations. These providers process data according to their privacy policies. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also withdraw GitHub authorization via your GitHub settings.

8. Children

Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated policy and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at the support email or feedback option provided in the application.
